NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk State women's basketball team travels to Dover, Del. to take on the Lady Hornets of Delaware State on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Spartans (2-10, 0-3 MEAC) dropped their third consecutive game on Monday night with an 87-54 loss to Morgan State, while Delaware State (6-9 overall, 1-0) posted a 49-27 victory over Winston-Salem State on Monday.

One positive the Spartans have to look forward to is the return of junior guard Ebony Gibbs (Petersburg, Va.). She will take the court for NSU after serving an eight-game suspension for violating team rules. Gibbs averaged 10.3 points and 7.3 rebounds in four games. She posted career-highs of 19 points and 12 rebounds in the win over Virginia Union on Nov. 20 and she scored in double figures in two of the four games she played in this season.
