NORFOLK, Va.
— The Norfolk State women's team opens the 2008-09 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference season with a 2 p.m. matchup at North Carolina A&T on Saturday at the Corbett Sports Center in Greensboro.

NSU (0-4) is looking for its first win of the season after dropping a 97-54 decision at No. 20/23 Old Dominion on Sunday. North Carolina A&T (3-3) fell 95-74 at No. 13 Auburn on Wednesday.

NSU leads the all-time series with North Carolina A&T 13-9. The Lady Aggies have won the last four meetings, however, with their last win, a 93-60 victory, coming at the Corbett Sports Center on March 6, 2008. The last time the Spartans beat A&T was on Feb. 26, 2006 when they won 59-57 in Greensboro.
