Women’s Tennis Ends Season with 7-0 Loss to Delaware

Brittany Foster won two sets at No. 1 singles in the Spartans' loss to Delaware.

NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk State women's tennis team concluded the 2010 season with a 7-0 loss to the University of Delaware on Thursday afternoon at the NSU Tennis Complex.

Delaware (8-4) won all three doubles matches and took the singles matches in straight sets.

Brittany Foster (Norfolk, Va.), the Spartans' only Senior Day honoree, won two sets at No. 1 singles, but fell 6-0, 6-2 to Megan Doran. Rebecca Graff(Bastad, Sweden) won a team-high three set at No. 5 singles.

The Spartans finished MEAC play with a 0-4 record and did not qualify for the MEAC Tournament.
