NSU Wins 2nd Straight Easy Matchup, 6-0 over CSU

BALTIMORE, Md.
– The Norfolk State women's tennis team earned its second straight 6-0 victory, downing Coppin State on Saturday morning at the CSU Tennis Courts.
 
NSU (6-10) defeated UMES on Friday without dropping a single game in all six singles matches. On Saturday, the Spartans won all four of the top singles matches, as CSU (1-3) forfeited at the last two positions.
 
Junior Andrea Macchiavello earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles over Miranda Taylor, while senior Yvonne Kamegne also won without dropping a game, 6-0 and 6-0 at No. 4 singles against Gabrielle Otero.
 
In the other two matchups, freshman Dajana Cvjetkovic posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Carentxa Goede at the top spot in the lineup. Sophomore Liza Gordeeva earned the win over Ashley Milo at the second position, 6-1 and 6-1.
 
The Spartans also earned wins at No. 5 and 6 singles due to CSU's short-handed lineup. The two teams did not play doubles.
 
NSU takes on North Carolina A&T at home on Friday in the last MEAC Southern Division match of the regular season.
