NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State football team looks to get back in the win column on Saturday, as the Spartans head to Nashville, Tenn. for a road matchup with Tennessee State University.
 
The Spartans (2-3) enter Saturday's matchup well-rested, coming off a bye week. NSU faced North Carolina A&T State the week prior, coming just short of a thrilling fourth quarter comeback in a 28-26 loss.

Saturday's showdown will take place at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans. It will be NSU's second time playing in an NFL stadium this year, facing Temple at Lincoln Financial Field on Sep. 16, home to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tennessee State (3-2) is fresh off a 27-20 road victory over Kennesaw State at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. TSU running back Jordan Gant rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns, a spark that NSU might need the other way around on Saturday.
 
"If we can run the football, that will help our chances with controlling the clock and controlling the tempo of the game," NSU head coach Dawson Odums said. "In the passing game, your best friend is a good run game."
 
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. Norfolk State will broadcast the game on Hot 91.1 FM (WNSB) with Ross Gordon calling the action.
