Justin Journette earned All-NEC Second Team honors, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Blakeney went 5-5 overall and 4-3 in NEC play this season, posting a 4.83 ERA. He led the Spartans with 70 strikeouts across 69.0 innings pitched. He delivered a standout performance in a win over Le Moyne, allowing two runs while striking out five batters. He also recorded 10 strikeouts over seven innings against FDU.
Among NEC leaders, Blakeney ranked third in strikeouts and wins, fourth in batting average against, and sixth in ERA.
Journette hit .332 this season with 61 hits, 60 RBIs, 51 runs scored, 18 home runs and 13 doubles. He set Norfolk State's single-season program record for home runs while posting a .696 slugging percentage.
The outfielder recorded four multi-home run games this season. Journette ranked second in the NEC in home runs, fourth in RBIs and slugging percentage, and fifth in OPS.
Norfolk State finished the season 20-31 overall and 16-17 in conference play, more than doubling the program's previous high for conference wins in a season. The Spartans finished sixth in the NEC standings and won six of 10 conference series during the year.
