2014 (Freshman): One of the team’s faster players, Johnson made his mark as a defensive substitute and pinch runner during his freshman year … played in 12 games, all coming off the bench … logged three at-bats but scored four runs … scored runs against Xavier, UMES (March series, game three), Coppin State (late-April series, game one) and UMES again (May series, game three).

High School: Lettered four years in baseball, four in track and two in football … a four-year starter in center field for the Bulldogs … was a second-team All-Southeastern District pick as a sophomore and senior … batted .396 with a .475 on-base percentage as a senior and was a perfect 21-of-21 on stolen base attempts … qualified for the state indoor track meet in the 300 meters as a senior … placed sixth in the region and 14th in the state in that event.
