Tiese E. Colley serves as the Athletics Business Manager at Norfolk State University, a role she has held since February 2025. In this position, Tiese collaborates closely with coaches, athletic administrators, and university departments to ensure the efficient management of financial operations aligned with the department’s strategic goals.
Tiese oversees key business functions within the athletics department, including procurement of equipment and services, team travel coordination, and compliance with university travel policies and procedures. She provides guidance to coaching staffs on expense reporting and fiscal processes, manages travel logistics within budgetary guidelines, and supervises administrative staff and student workers in the athletics business office. In addition to her financial responsibilities, she assists with athletic events, supporting operations such as event setup and ticket and merchandise sales.
Prior to her current role, Colley served as an Accounts Payable Travel Specialist at Norfolk State, where she processed travel authorizations and reimbursements and served as a key resource for faculty and staff on travel policies and fiscal controls. She brings more than a decade of accounting and accounts payable experience from roles with Sentara Healthcare, Fortis Solutions Group, Titan America, and several other organizations, developing a strong background in invoice processing, reconciliation, vendor relations, and financial systems management.
