EL PASO, Texas - The Norfolk State men's basketball team (1-8) hopes to snap its seven-game losing streak as it returns from the holiday break to participate in the Bank of the West Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational on Dec. 28-29.

NSU opens tourney play against host UTEP (7-2) at 9 p.m. ET on Monday, Dec. 28 before facing either Air Force or Niagara on Tuesday, Dec. 29. The tourney consolation game will be played at 7:30 p.m. ET and the championship at 9:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 29.

The Spartans have had 13 days off following their seventh consecutive defeat, 95-78 at Jacksonville State on Dec. 15.
