After Month on the Road, Spartan Men Return Home as MEAC Play Resumes

Game Notes

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk State men's basketball team resumes MEAC play and returns home for the first time since Nov. 30 when the Spartans (1-11, 0-1 MEAC) host Bethune-Cookman (6-8, 1-0) this Saturday for Youth/Community Day at Echols Hall. The game is slated to tip-off at 6 p.m.

All youth 17 and under get in free with a paying adult, and youth groups get in free at the rate of 10 kids per one paying adult. For more information on the promotion, click here.

The Spartans will be looking to snap a 10-game losing streak. The 10th straight loss came at the hands of Duquesne, 95-73, last Sunday in Pittsburgh, Pa. Reigning MEAC Rookie of the Week Pendarvis Williams led NSU with 16 points, Kyle O'Quinn had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Rob Hampton added 12 points.

The Wildcats snapped a three-game losing streak with an 87-66 win over Carver Bible College on Tuesday night.

SERIES NOTES
NSU leads the all-time series with Bethune-Cookman, 13-9. The Wildcats were victorious in the
team's only meeting last year, a 77-61 decision on Jan. 9 in Daytona Beach, Fla. NSU has won seven
of the last nine meetings dating to the 2004-05 season.
